To determine the slump and compaction factor of concrete mix (ratio 1:2:4)

OBJECT: To determine the slump and compaction factor of concrete mix (ratio 1:2:4)

2. APPARATUS:- Slump cone & vase. compaction, Factor apparatus. Tamping rod. Glass Jars 1000 cc. & 100 cc. Trowel. Bucket, Plateform balance etc.

OBSERVATION:-

Weight of Cement =

Weight of F.A.=

Weight of C.A.-

Water/cement ratio:- for mix A=

3. PROCEDURE:-

a) Prepare the mix in 1:2:4 ratio by weight first mix cement. F.A. . C.A. dry then add water & mix thoroughly

b) Fill slump cone welth this concrete in 3layers upto tap level and compact each layer by tamping rod giving 25 blows for each layer.

c) After slump test put this concrete top hopper of C.F. apparatus

4. For calculating theoretical weight of concrete (fully compacted) the respective densities of cement F.A. C.A. may be taken as obtained earlier.
